We started the evening with a walk around the location including the underground tunnels. Around the area of Alley 1 a few investigators felt a presence and a few felt sick whilst down in the tunnels.
We then decided to split up into smaller groups.
One group decided to return to the tunnels (right hand side) There was table tipping activity when the group asked for it. The table moved quite strongly in different directions and started to twist when asked for. We then tried glass divination and had yes and no responses to questions asked. Drops in temperature were also felt.
Alley 1/ Alley 2
A group of investigators were drawn to the part of the market between Alley 1 and Alley 2. One investigator felt dizzy when approaching this area but felt ok when he had passed by it.
The group tried table tipping and glass divination but the energy was weak so they moved further up the market between alley 2 and alley 3.
Alley 2/ Alley 3
As the group were walking towards this area one of the K2 meters changed to red (strongest indication of electronic magnetic energy which is believed to be a sign of spirit energy).
When the group tried table tipping the table tipped and spun round a couple of times and the group felt a significant drop in temperature.
Other groups walked around the market asking out.
We decided at this point to take our first break of the night.
After the break we again split up into smaller groups.
One group decided to investigate the left hand side of the tunnels.
Almost immediately we heard a couple of loud thumps which sounded very close to where we were. We decided to try table tipping and as soon as hands were placed on the table there was movement. When encouraged by the group the table started to move more strongly and they were able to get yes and no responses to questions.
The spirit that connected with this group told us she was a little girl and when we asked if she would like to play with some toys she tipped the table for a yes response. We had a doll, a teddy bear and a music box and when the music box stopped playing she let us know by tipping the table that she wanted it to play again. We tried glass divination and the group had some personal connection with a spirit and the temperature dropped significantly during this time. We then decided to move to the Seance Table.
We tried the Seance Table and asked for activity around us but apart from one investigator suddenly feeling angry and a small movement on our crystal the energy felt quite flat. We decided to move to Alley 1 where a lot of investigators felt drawn and heard shuffling noises behind us as we made our way to this area.
Another group spent some time at the Seance Table later in the evening and they felt as if they were being watched and when one investigator left the table she started to feel extremely cold to the point that she could not stop shaking and as this group walked away from the area shadows were seen and tapping noises were heard.
We tried a Ouija Board session and we had the name Sue spelt out and then she immediately went to goodbye. Then a male spirit communicated he did not want to tell us his name and told us he did not like the team leader who was with this group as he recognised her from previous investigations and spelt out a message telling us where to go! At this point there was a strong smell of tobacco.
Another group tried using the Crystal Pendulums in the Arcade area and made a connection to a Sister Agnes and shadows were seen in this area.
A couple of investigators and a team leader tried a Franks box session (we record our Franks box sessions to review after the event) There is a section of audio which seems to have a voice without interruption . The radio quickly scans radio stations so you would usually have a second or two of voices before the radio scans again.
We would be interested to hear your comments on what you think is being said.
At this point we decided to return to the hub for a short break.
We have 2 Dictaphones running for the entire night as we can capture EVP’S when we are talking among ourselves during breaks. On this occasion we seem to have caught a female voice who seems to be joining in our conversation.
After the break it was time for the Lone Vigil
One investigator was taken down to the right hand side of the tunnels with a Dictaphone, K2 meter and Digital Thermometer and a set of questions. A night vision camera with microphone was positioned in front of them. The investigator was encouraged to ask out for things to happen to them.
The Lone Vigil would last for a period of 15 minutes and the investigator would be in complete darkness.
The rest of the group were in the hub in the arcade seated around the monitor and could see and hear the Lone Vigil.
During the vigil the investigator heard constant footsteps behind her (This area of the tunnel is in the Arcade area of the market) and as we were all seated away from that area it was interesting that she heard footsteps.
After the Lone Vigil we decided to stay in one group and move to the area around Alley 1. We had 3 tables and split into 3 groups and had good Table Tipping, personal messages on the Ouija board and good responses with Glass Divination and our Writing Planchette all 3 tables were getting good activity all at the same time.
While this was happening a shadow was seen moving up and down the alley.
After this period of activity we again split up into groups.
One group set up Trigger Objects in the left hand side of the tunnels as we would not be entering this area again till the end of the night.
Flour was placed on a wooden board and objects were placed in the flour. We also had a wooden cross and Victorian pennies which were placed on wooden boards. Photographs were taken so we could compare their position in case there had been movement in our absence.
We also set up a couple of pressure alarms with a teddy and candle on them which would give off an alarm if they were moved and would be heard on the monitor at the entrance to the tunnels.
A group of investigators sat in Alley 3 as this was where we had had good activity on a previous investigation and a shadow figure had been seen.
Investigators used Glass Divination to communicate and we seem to have caught an EVP in response to questions asked.
Hub (Arcade area)
A couple of investigators were monitoring the night vision camera footage on a monitor in the hub.
To end the evening we decided to regroup and all spend some time on the right hand side of the tunnels. We played some war time music as the tunnels had been used as an Air Raid shelter during the 2nd World War.
We had a table with us and this began to move, flashes of light were seen at the far end of the tunnel (lights have been seen on a few previous investigations)
Shuffling noises were heard in the small room at the end of the tunnel which had most of the investigators in, but all were either sitting or standing still.
Sister Agnes who had communicated with some of the investigators earlier in the evening started to communicate again by tipping the table for Yes/No responses. She told the group that she had committed suicide and was not at peace and was afraid to move on. She said she would communicate with us again when we return to this location and we could maybe help her to be at peace.
It was time to end the investigation as we had run out of time. We checked the Trigger Objects in the left hand tunnel but unfortunately nothing had moved on this occasion.
Once again we had an interesting investigation at the Grainger Market.
Activity included good Table Tipping and Glass Divination, personal messages on our Ouija Board/Table.
Interesting audio on our Frank’s Box session, a couple of EVP’S, noises during the Lone Vigil and investigators being affected (feeling sick, dizzy, and freezing cold).
We look forward to returning to the Grainger Market later this year.
